I recently returned home from Invermere, BC from the Kelly Hrudey and Friends Celebrity Charity Golf Classic hosted at Copper Point Golf course.

This was the second annual event and I was delighted to participate again, helping raise funds for youth, including the Alberta Adolescent Recovery Centre (AARC), the Invermere Summit Youth Centre and the local Elementary & High School Hockey Academy.

Many celebrities also attended!

Other celebrity guests included Dennis Polonich, a fan favorite when he played with the Detroit Red Wings, Doug Bodger a defenseman in the NHL for the Pittsburgh Penguins and Buffalo Sabers, W. Brett Wilson  a well-known businessman and philanthropist also appearing on TV shows Dragons’ Den and Risky Business, Cassie Campbell-Pascall multiple Olympic Gold medalist in hockey and CBC announcer, Eddie Richardson from W Network and HGTV show “Love It or List It”, Martine Gaillard  a sports broadcaster with Sportsnet, Mason Raymond  a left-winger with the Vancouver Canucks and Bob Bourne four time Stanley Cup Champion, to name a few.

I loved playing in the Pro Ams each day and was thrilled when our team WON Day 1 of the event.  I also conducted a clinic for guests to help all audience members add some distance to all their clubs.  I may have ended with my signature back flip which was a hoot. It was a fabulous event and raised a great deal for such wonderful causes.  Sign me up for next year!
