Hello All!
Finally summer time in Canada! Yippee!! Since my last update I had my busiest month of the year. I was thrilled to entertain at several Corporate and Charity golf tournaments including Golf for Girls, Indus Minor Hockey Association, Canadian Institute of Mining, IBM, ITSMF, Athletes in Action/Leader Impact Group and the RCMP Foundation.
7th Annual itSMF Southern Alberta Charitable Golf Tournament
Such a wonderful opportunity to meet golfers from around Canada. I also had the pleasure of joining LPGA player Kris Tschetter (http://www.kristschetter.com/) in South Dakota raising money for the local YMCA. What an incredible event! The community spirit was palpable and it was wonderful to see so many generous sponsors and participants. It was also a treat to have Nashville star Steve Azar (http://www.steveazar.com/) there to entertain both on stage and on the course with his scratch handicap!
I was excited to host several Score Golf – Links for Women schools that offer women an opportunity to learn golf fundaments, network, and… ok there may have been some wine and chocolate. I was also honored to attend the 20th Anniversary celebration for Heritage Pointe, my home course. What an amazing facility and fantastic group of people!
Soccer coaching debut – Luke’s team
June wrapped up with my coaching debut in Soccer. Luke’s team comprised of 4 and 5 year olds went undefeated! I was most proud of the fact we had the only team that never scored on their own net and they always high fived each other’s efforts! Wonderful sportsmanship!
July kicked off with a one week break in BC and is wonderful to sneak some golf in and get to go on the lake. I am attempting to becoming more proficient in wake surfing and have found it is not as easy as it looks! How do the 10 year olds do it?? July is never complete in Calgary without a big Yahoo and a Cowboy hat at the Calgary Stampede. I was thrilled to hit the grounds with my girl friends to see the Beach Boys and to get a behind the scenes look at the Chuck Wagons for the first time. An amazing experience.

I am looking forward to going to Grand Prairie Next week to support 18 local charities at an event, then celebrate a great year with dear friends at Shane Homes at their annual Golf Tournament and off that night on the red eye to Halifax to play Cabot Links in Cape Breton and participate in the 20th Anniversary TELUS Skins Game at Glen Arbour in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The TELUS Skins game will be phenomenal this year with 5 Nike Staff players including Stephen Ames, Paul Casey, Jhonattan Vegas, Lucas Glover and Carl Pettersson. Special entertainers will be Tom Cochrane and Kevin Costner (am I the only person that didn’t know Costner was a musician?!). This is my favorite event of the year and I am honored to be involved in the Pro-Am and teaching a Junior Clinic. I will also be wearing a media hat for Inside Golf Magazine. I can’t wait!
